sequencer mode in F28335 ADC

Hi,

what is the advantage of dual seqencer mode over cascaede mode.where it will be used?.i am considering two inputs(voltage and current from solar panel ) which are used further to produce maximum power in my application.and for this what type of mode i havo to be select?

Thanks & Regrds,

Naveen Rangu.

  • in dual sequencer mode you have two independent  triggers for each 8-stage sequencer.

in cascade sequencer mode you have one  trigger for the full 16-stage sequencer.

so if everything is being run off a single time base and needs to convert every time, then cascade will work.

if you have different time bases or don't need to covert everything every time, use dual sequencer mode.

On Piccolo the ADC has been improved where any time event can be it's own trigger, with a programmable channel and a programmable acquisition window.
