Hi Folks,

I'm a tech sales representative and had a query on INSTASPIN. one of my customers is working on a 24V,30W,60000RPM BLDC motor and is looking at F28069 currently for use in the end product. He had a query on how to implement INSTASPIN in their version of the source code to control the motor in the end application? As in, does the INSTASPIN algo is exclusive to TI GUI and software or can they also implement the same for their application because the control won't be through GUI in the end application.

The GUI has nothing to do with anything. it is just instrumenting the embedded code.

You must use an InstaSPIN enabled device and then use MotorWare for interface to the specific APIs in user code that call items in ROM.

Download then run MotorWare.exe and you will see all sorts of documentation.

There is also a sticky post here on how to evaluate and get started.

Thanks for the reply! What is an INSTASPIn enabled device? Also i have already demonstrated the application on a 24V 4000 RPM motor to the customer but his question is whether Instaspin can be used in their end product.

InstaSPIN-FOC and - MOTION require a device with special library in ROM. My post above has a link to these devices. InstaSPIN-BLDC can be run on any Piccolo device with the library provided in controlSUITE.

The intention of course is for customers to use in their product so I don't really understand your question.
