This project is a real kludge.

The original developer used an all-SRAM based link control file such that it's wedging all the code into the 50K SRAM on the 28069, and (according to the link map) almost nothing in FLASH.

I added some diagnostic code, broke 50K, and could NOT figure out why it didnt fitt in 128K of FLASH.. until I opened the .LNK file and runed my weekend.

I've only been working with this MCU for 2.5 weeks so I'm clearly a newbie.

Can someone provide a link, Web page, manual, etc. that will get me up to speed on how to get the static code into FLASH? I have no idea why the original engineer did this and he's not available.

The easiest way to do so is check the flash example code in controlSuite; that can be found here:

C:\ti\controlSUITE\device_support\f2806x\v136\F2806x_examples_ccsv5\flash_f28069

You can check the structure and the flash linker file ie .cmd file used for the project. You can either paste your previous code here or implement the flash structure there whichever convenient.

Got all that, thanks! Looks like it's a little more complex to set up in CCS than in IAR, but ut's not rocket science.
