C2000 laundpad

Hi Nilesh,

1. I have C2000 launchpad kit, how to connect the launchpad to our custom board for In System Programming because this lauchpad does not have the pins similar to the MSP launch pad. Please suggest any app note or link for the same

TMS320F28027F has 1 of each SPI, I2C and SCI. You can use any of these comm. peripherals for your interface with custom board. You can find examples on all these peripherals in controlSuite. Simply download the same.

2. SinceTMS320F28027F have only a single Communication peripheral (vs MSP which had two) and we may have 2 SPI, 1 I2C and UART<->USB communication, I need any application notes or guidelines on best practices of sharing the COMM peripheral and Switching between I2C and SPI and SCI (UART)

I didn't get the above question. Can you be a bit clearer? What exactly are you looking for in the 2nd question?

Is it like you want to use the C2000 launchpad's emulator to program MSP430? or do you need C2000 launchpad's control itself to program the MSP430?

Further Edit: Both are not possible because C2000 launchpad has XDS100v2 emulator which does not support any MSP430 devices.

Gentle advice, Nilesh.... Please be very clear as you've mentioned above. Now towards the answer:

Why not! It can be programmed using C2000 launchpad but you've to be very careful while isolating the signals.

Personally, I would recommend you to purchase a XDS100v2 emulator (cost-effective emulator)
