asm("IACK #x") instruction is equivalent to 'PieCtrlRegs.PIEACK.all = x' ?

Hello, I read on page 254 (6-97) of SPRU430E August 2001 − Revised January 2009

C2000 architecture accept IACK #16bit instruction

"Acknowledge an interrupt by outputting the specified 16-bit constant ..."

this instruction is equivalent to

"PieCtrlRegs.PIEACK.all = ...value..." ??

Thankyou in advice
