Errors during linking for c2000 tms320f28335

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6678

Hi,

I have a similar problem stated in the thread

"Errors encountered during linking" posted by  .

My issue is the same problem with

RamfuncsLoadStart,  RamfuncsLoadEnd and RamfuncsRunStart.

These files are not seen in the linker command file.

How do I make the linker to generate these variables, of course with their proper functionalites? I expect the steps for achieving it.

I am using sys/bios.

Isn't the linker auto generated?

I make use of the RTSC tool Platform generator for making the platform file and add it to the project using project properties> RTSC > platform.

Can anything be done over there(in the platform file)? Else something at the XDC script of the cfg file?

please help.

For the sample codes they're already pre-configured. But for the custom ones you've to configure them personally as per your application.

According to your error I guess its a custom code. I would like you to check the sample code for the way its included.

  • Hai Gautham,

I have included the cmd file recieved from the package.

I want to know how can I personally configure the the sections and all the other stuff I mentioned in the first thread through

    1) platform config.

    2) linker script.

    some examples would suffice.

Also I want to clear one doubt.

Is it possible to include multiple linker command files?

If so what will the linker do with the conflicting declarations?

if required I can share the files I included.

More than a blind solution I wish to know how I would be able to solve similar problems later also.

Nope. Only a single linker file can be included to a particular project.

Also, I would like you to go through this link: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/C28x_Compiler_-_Understanding_Linking

  • Hai,

    kindly see the pic,

NB: I have experience in TI's TMS320C6678 octacore DSPs for about 2 years.

searching with my name in the forum reveals it. I am new to c2000 series

There I make use of XDC script and RTSC platform generation tools to specify the sections.

I would be happy at the least if I can tell the linker command file to specify the three locations which I mentioned in the first slide

(load start run start load end variable for ram functions)

    regards,

    Sijomon
