What happened to the F28M35H52B (Base version)?

A product preview document from 2012 shows a concerto "Base" model F28M35H52B but the current datasheet has only the "Connectivity" (F28M35H52C) version listed.

Is the H52B obsolete?

If someone designed it in based on the product preview, can he drop in the 52C with no changes?

Yes, you should be able to use H52C part without any problem. This part has USB and Ethernet which the obsolete H52B didn't, rest is all same.

Do the connectivity pins come up as I/O by default?

If the designer used the connectivity pins as I/O (B version), does he have to do anything in software to still use them as I/O instead of connectivity pins?
