Hi

I was earlier practising on F28069 MCU. For my application I need to establish communication using CAN and a backup communication using Ethernet.Hence,I am now planning to use F28M3x MCU's (F28M36H53C/F28M35H52C)  which can provide me with control as well as communication.

I wanted to know if this family is compatible with F28069 and its programs?Is it necessary to have the same F28M3x MCU kit  at the reciever end while sending information using CAN / Ethernet from F28M3x MCU kit? What other options can be available in terms of cost reduction.

    the C28x subsystem on F28M35x is similar to the F2806x, most of the peripheral mappings should be similar but there is no CAN peripheral mapped on to the C28x subsystem on F28M35x so you will have to work through that in your solution. F28M35x can communicate to F2806x and vice-versa over CAN or other communication peripherals. The data link layer and physical layer of the COM peripherals on these MCUs are as per standards however the drivers would be different on the MCUs because the COM peripherals could be different and control registers would be different.

    I would suggest you to start with the controlSuite examples for F28M35x and f2806x.
