TI HV Resonant LLC Developer’s Kit - MUX Selection between I-SR and V-SR

Hello,

I have the TI HV Resonant LLC Developer’s Kit.  Out of the box it comes with configuration:

[Main]-J7 => I-SR2 (pins 1-2)

[Main]-J8 => I-SR1 (pins 1-2)

With this configuration, the accompanied software utilizes the comparator functionality associated with I-SR1 (COMP1) and I-SR2 (COMP2) to turn off the associated PWM signals when a threshold defined in the DAC is met.  This is normal the operation and from what I can tell is needed.

The kit allows you to switch from I-SR to V-SR via the connectors (i.e. switching from pins 1/2 on J7 and J8 to pins 2/3).

Will the software still work (I have not tried it for fear of damaging the kit)?  I see from the documentation that I-SR and V-SR are measured on opposite sides of the transistor.

Not sure how this affects operation?

I would think by doing this, the comparators which are used in normal operation to turn off the PWM signals will no longer be in play?  Or is it that not the case, would the comparators functionality still be needed?

Would there need to be changes to the support to support switching the connectors to V-SR?

Thanks,

Brent
