DRV8301-HC-C2-Kit And F28068M control Board

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8301, MOTORWARE

Hello,

I bought both the DRV8301-HC-C2_kit and the DRV8312-69M-Kit.  I have to say that I prefer the Instaspin-Motion GUI that came with the 69M over the Instaspin GUI that came with the 8301 Kit.  I need the hihger current that the 8301 provides, can I swap out the two control boards.  Place the F28069M in the DRV8301 board so i can use the InstaPin-Motion GUI?

  • Dale,

Provided that the version of the DRV8301-HC-C2 kit is Revision D you can do that.  The GUI and MotorWare example code works with Revision D of the DRV8301 kit.  If your version is Revision C you will need to buy a new eval kit to use InstaSPIN-MOTION with the DRV8301.  But there is a kit from TI that has the DRV8301 board and an additional 69M ControlCard.  It is called DRV8301-69M-kit.
