tidfu documentation

could you tell me what version of the development tools I need to build these files. I believe Visual Studio 2010, Windows SDK 6.1, and the DDK (don't know what version).

I'm using VS 2010 professional.  i'm trying to build tiusbdll project first because tidfu needs the lib file.

First, it couldn't find winusb.h. So I dowinloaded WDK 8.1. I Changed the paths to this WDK from SDK 6.1. Now i'm getting all kinds of errors in usb.h. Also, I'm running under Win 8.

I installed SDK 6.1 on my XP machine. On that machine, i'm getting some errors in .h files in SDK v7.0a.

That's why I was wondering about the versions and build environment.

version of the SDK that comes with vs 2010 is 7.0a. I'm getting errors in uianimation.h which is included with afxwin.h in stdafx.h.

I finally got it to compile on XP. I moved the line for including the 6.0 SDK to below the $(FrameworkSDKDir )include. The version of the DDK I had didn't create an environment variable DDKROOT, so I had to add paths for that. Then the RC compile complained that it couldn't find files, so I had to add paths to that. And lastly, the linker was crying about not finding files, so I had to add paths for that.

It was a good exercise as I plan on porting it to a C++/CLI solution.

 We're seeing something strange. It is only happening in the development environment. In the function for CheckForTIProtocol(), in the call for Endpoint0Transfer, the value for sProt.usVersion is coming back as 0x2001 and not 0x0001. Any ideas? This value does not look like a random value. Thanks.

Upon further investigation, I found that our bootloader was returning the value.

I modified the DLL code and was able to erase and flash the device. I noticed that there was a thread regarding this value. Is there going to be a newer version of the tools?

May I add a couple of things.

I had an easier time building with VS2013 by creating new empty projects and adding the source files, adding lib files to project settings, and preprocessor defines instead of trying to open the old project files and upgrading.

Also, we didn't seemed to be getting the windows messages. We changed WM_USER to WM_APP. Then it seemed to work. The application was written in C# and using windows 8.1.
