InstaSpin, Ifb-Sum measurement necessary

Good Morning,

I have a question on the function of the Ifb-Sum measurement.

On the Eval Boards (HVMotorCtr) there is measured the sum of all phase currents at ADC-A2. Why is this necessary ? It should be possible to calculate this from each single phase current measurements ?

Feedback of my question is the need of this for implementation of InstaSpin on my own Hardware. I'm using direct phase current measurement via 2 (optional 3) LEM current sensors.
