I was running CCS3.1 on WindowsXP without any problems. I recently upgraded to windows 7, and CCS3 wasn't supported, so I got CCS4.
Spectrum Digital's ezDSPF2812 is suppose to work with CCS4 since drivers come with the install package. However, I am having trouble connecting to it.
I'm not sure with target to use. There are 5 Spectrum Digital connections to choose from, 4 of which have device selection for ezdspf2812.
"Spectrum Digital DSK-EVM-eZdsp onboard USB Emulator", "Spectrum Digital C2000 XDS510LC Emulator", and "Spectrum Digital XDS510USB Emulator" gives me an error "error initializing emulator" when I try to start the debugger to connect to the board.
"Spectrum Digital XDS510 Parallel Port-PCI Emulator" gives me a driver selection box, for which i choose "sdgo2812ezdsp.xml". But on connection, it asks for a license for that feature. I am using the free version which is suppose to work with xds100 and development boards.
I am lost as to how to connect to the board. Which target to I select? The parallel port is on port 0x378 and IRQ 0x07.

Henry,
Have you by chance contacted spectrum digital on this? I think the sdgo2812ezdsp should work - I'm not sure why it is asking for a license. Unfortunatly I don't have a 281x eZdsp to try it out on.
Some of the folks who monitor the code composer studio forum may have a suggestion.

yes, i have contacted them. They seem to be just as lost as I am.
Spectrum Digital support said I should be choosing "Spectrum Digital DSK-EVM-eZdsp onboard USB Emulator" for connection, and "EZDSPF2812" for board/device, which I've done. But also that I'm suppose to be able to configure the port addr somewhere, which I do not have.
Checking with SDConfigEx seems to connect without problems, but only after I changed the LPT Port Mode in bios to ECP+EPP, eventhough support insist it should be SPP (when I had it set to SPP, SDConfigEx would not connect). But still the same results in Code Composer.
For anyone following this thread or with the same issue - it was resolved here:
