F28335 Technical reference manual

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335

Hi

Can someone please give me the link for a consolidated technical reference manual for TMS320F28335,like we have for F28069?

I have F28335 technical datasheets for PWM,SCI,SPI,ADC,CAN..But I was looking for a consolidated one.

Thanks

Sneha

  • I also have problem for this. And every time I need to check the register for F2802x or F2833x, I refer to F28069 TRM since the documentation is merged into one file so easier to be used.

Hope TI can provide such a file for F2802x and F2833x (or the link to get this TRM if it is available).

    Thank you.

    Best regards,

    Maria

  • Hi Maria

    Thanks for the reply.

It is really difficult to go through these multiple datasheets.Between do you have the datasheets for its GPIO and Cpu timer??If so please share....

Hope TI people work for this.

    Thanks

    Sneha

  • Hi Sneha,

For F28335 all peripherals have their own user guide and are not included in one TRM as in the case F28069.

Personally I prefer individual user guides as it gives you more control, documentation wise.

This is how I've the collection for such controllers with individual user guides:

    Now, coming to your query:

For GPIO & Cputimer you can refer a doc named SysCtrl & Interrupts in the User Guide section.

  • Hey folks, thanks for the inputs.  As is clear here, this is a bit of a matter of preference as there are pros and cons to each.  It seems our approach moving forward is the single document (TRM) approach and hence there is some logic to retrofitting older documents with that methodology.  On the other hand, the legacy user guides are referenced in many places and it will be impossible to remove them, but continuing to support both user guides and TRM is a recipe for having conflicting information and duplication of effort.  I have broached this subject with our documentation team and they are considering the options.  Hopefully we can come up with a solution which meets your needs and makes finding the required information as easy as possible.  Thanks again for your feedback!
