F2837x controlCARD

Hello,

i wanted to use the GPIOs 122 to 137 of the F2837x controlCARD. But as i see now, the controlCARD seems not to be usefull to me. The named GPIOs are not connected to anything, am i right? Is there a way to connect anythink to this IOs?

  • Hi Phillipp,

I'm not familiar with the controlCARD, but if you truly cannot access the these pins directly and want to verify their functionality for their development, you can reroute these to a different GPIO through a round-a-bout method.  I'll ask someone to verify this.

You can use the INPUT X-BAR and assign an INPUTx to each of the GPIOs you wish to verify but cannot access.  So for example, INPUT1 = 122, INPUT2 = 137, etc.  You can then route these connections to a different GPIO through the OUTPUT X-BAR by selecting the corresponding INPUT X-BAR signal as the source.  So if you go to the datasheet and locate a OUTPUTXBARx signal which you have access to on a different GPIO, you are essentially creating a loop which will re-route the output of your GPIOs to a different one.  There will of course be some extra propagation delay and such, but for just viewing the output this should work well.

  • Hi Kris,

i will look into the datasheet for this feature tomorrow. Thank you for answering my question.

    edit:

I looked into the Datasheet. It says it is possible to mux the needed functions (sigma delta filter module) to many GPIOs.
But the Pin Mux Tool in Versino 3.0.396 says:
The F2837x-PTP_176 has no sigma delta, but only the sd clock.
The F2837x-ZWT_337 has sigma delta filters. But they can only be muxed to other sigma delta pins.

I believe the Datasheet is right and the Software is incorrect, but i cant verify that now.
Can you say if there is a newer Version of the Pin Mux tool than in the wiki linked?
