I am working on the HIgh Voltage Motor Control kit of TI and trying to control a PMS Motor using it. I have a theoretical doubt regarding this.
What are the reasons which cause the sync between stator and rotor in PMSM to be lost ? I have plotted the graphs of D-axis and Q-axis currents during motor stalling and found an unusually high value for a short time. Why is the D-axis current ( magnetising current ) trying to attain a large value?
Can somebody please help me with this ?
