SCI Booting using C2Prog - Booting problem with 24MHz Oscillator.

Hi all,

We are using c2prog to download the HEX file on SCI port in the boot mode for TMS320F28335.
In the tool different options are given to select the frequency of the processor.
 

We placed 24MHz oscillator on our board and trying to dump the code through SCI interface in boot mode, it is not working.


When we replaced 24MHz with 30MHz oscillator, then the code is dumped into the TMS320F28335.

 Could anybody please help us on this issue.
 We want to use 24MHz oscillator  on our boards.

    What are the values you are using for CL1 and CL2?  Also can you attach the crystal datasheet for the 24MHz crystal?

    Can you scope the 24MHz crystal to see if the oscillator starts oscillating?

    I am sorry for late reply.

    What are the values you are using for CL1 and CL2?

    I am not sure where exactly CL1 and CL2 are used, but we have not used any capacitors for oscillator.

    Also can you attach the crystal datasheet for the 24MHz crystal?

    This is the attachment for data sheet of 24MHz oscillator which we have used.

    Yes, we have scoped the oscillator, it is working fine.

    We are working with this for an external ADC Interfaced with SPI, Internal ADC's. For all other functionality of TMS320F28335, the 24Mhz Oscillator and 30MHz Oscillator are working fine.

    Even for SCI Boot loading using Code Composer Studio, 30MHz oscillator and 24MHz are working fine.

    But for SCI Boot loading using C2Prog, 30MHz oscillator working fine but 24MHz is not working.
