Hi,

I am using the ezdsp evaluation kit for quite a long time, but suddenly it started giving load error.

Following is the error description "

C28xx: GEL Output:
ADC Calibration not complete, check if device is unlocked and recalibrate.C28xx: Flash operation timed out waiting for the algorithm to complete. Operation cancelled.
C28xx: GEL: Load failed.

Some of the other questions was:

1. Does the chip cease to function when PLL configurations are not right? as there was no change in the build but started getting this error.

What other reasons could be to cause this error.

Hi Shreepriya,

Did you check the voltage levels on the board and match the same to schematics of the board? Also, check for any component overheating.

1. Does the chip cease to function when PLL configurations are not right?

Hi,

Thanks for the response.

The voltage levels on hardware front seems to be fine and now we have stabilized the PLL settings.

But still we see the flash lockout issue happening quite often, could it be environment issue in CCS.

We are using CCS 5.5 compiler 6.2.0 and SYSBIOS RTOS.

Along with this we are facing the same issues and custom based board with 28335 chip also on TMSDOCK28335 board.

It would be helpful if we can get more pointers to resolve this issue.

That's very odd. Can you check with any sample code say adc_soc? Let me know if you still get that error.

Hi Gautam,

We tried the following:

1. Flashing LEDs project from control suite, we followed the steps given in one of the ti forums. http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000/f/171/p/244748/858403.

With the steps followed we were not getting run option itself and could not read flash memory

2. We tried flashing the chip with SCIA boot mode this also said unlock failed.

It appeared the user flash got corrupted as at XRS we were able to see the reset cycles coming up.

Then I guess the chip (flash) might've got damaged and replacing seems the only option. Also, the cause of this event doesn't seem to be clear.
