Trouble reading register PC - F28335

Hi

I am working on f28335-Experimenter Kit and while debugging the program in real time mode/continuous refresh,I am facing the following error:
Trouble reading register PC: (error 1142 @ 0x0)

I have tried closing CCS,restarting it ,removing the cable ,changing it.restarting the PC,connecting the board to another PC,trying the same code on other PC but I face the same issue.

Kindly help.

Thanks & Regards

Sneha

  • Hi Sneha,

Please check your device health. Check for voltages around the device & for any overheating component.

  • Hi Gautam

My device health seems to be good, no overheating around. The voltage levels are 3.3 V on many GPIO pins but 0-1.5 V on few GPIO pins,On ADC pins its 0 V only. But this was the status of the device earlier too when it was functioning well. Also, the same error pops up while debugging the code on the other device.

I noticed this variation/difference in voltage levels on GPIO pins few days back while working with CAN.I was just trying to figure out if this is the correct status or not.But I checked it on the other device too,its the same. Can this be the reason for my CAN program not working? Or is it that certain GPIO pins on the board are not configured to be high?

Please suggest a solution for the error.

    Thanks & Regards

  • HI
I dont know what the problem was and why was it occurring.
But its solved now after I removed CPU timer part from the program and instead used a simple delay function.
