I want to know the status of GPIO-0 (Pin No.5) in TMS320F28335 (i.e GPIO is High, Low or Floating), during Boot load Mode E.

I want to use GPIO-0 (Pin No.5) for some other Purpose and at the same time my controller is in Boot load Mode E.

Hi Sandeep,

You can get the status of the GPIO by checking its GPxDAT register.

Actually, I am programming TMS320F28335 using bootload Mode E i.e through serial port using C2Prog utility. During programming i would like to know the status of GPIO pin i.e. Active High or Active low or Floating.

Connect a probe then... observe the GPIO status on DSO.

Sandeep,

GPIO0 - GPIO11 pull up are DISABLED by default. So, you should have GPIO0 floating when you are using mode E bootload.
