Hi,

I use High Voltage Motor Control and PFC Developers Kit (v1.7) with control card F28027F InstaSpin + motorware 13. The dev system is Windows 7 Pro x64, CCS 6.0.1 + Free License (XDS100).

My problem is to download programs > 16kB.

Message is:

C28xx: Flash Programmer: Error encountered when writing to flash memory
C28xx: GEL: File: C:\ti\motorware\motorware_1_01_00_13\sw\solutions\instaspin_foc\boards\hvkit_rev1p1\f28x\f2802xF\projects\ccs5\proj_lab05b\Flash\proj_lab05b.out: Load failed.

I thougth there is no limitation with XDS100 hardware? Smaler programs will be done.

Another question: The generated HEX file is only 47Bytes, how can this be?

How can help, or has similar problems?

Hello,
I am wondering, in which line from the error that you gave that it mentioned it failed because the program is >16KB?
If you load another program (another instaspin lab), does it success?

Hello Maria,

I Iooked in the MAP-file. Values of FLASHA_D <04000 programs instaspin loaded. I use the CCS to load the program.

Hello,

Did you change your F28027F cmd file? Or this is the one from the lab directly?

Because my map file is different from the one that you showed, but I didn't use CCS 6.0.1 and my project lab is lab 10.

I will check your case (CCS6.0.1) in my PC later and will update what I observe.

Hello Maria,
the cmd file comes from the motorware lab directly. I use it without changes.

Hello Raimond,

I am unable to get size more than 16KB from project lab 5b or 10a so I haven't been able to duplicate your case yet.

Here is my capture of memory allocation view. Can you send yours?

So in your side, if it is less than <16KB, it loads normally to the MCU, right?

Also no error while building the code, I believe.

Let see whether I later will be able to get more than 16KB, and let me update again.

FYI,

The F28027F.cmd files of motorware 13 and motorware 14 are identical. During build process all seems fine, no errors etc.

Programs smaler 16kB load and runs fine. But always the HEX-file is not build correct.
