Target configuration for 2807x devices not available

I just installed a new version of ccs6.0.1 for linux and selected only the c2000 and xds emulators for the install. I ran check for updates and it updated to compiler 6.2.11. But there target configuration only has up to 2806x devices, no 2807x devices. What can I do to add these?

    I don't have piccolo 2807x devices either in the new project dialog, or under any of the XDS100 emulators in the target configuration. I tried installing CCS 6.0.1 on a windows machine and 2807x devices show up only after doing Help>Check for updates and updating. On linux they don't appear even about updating.

    Lee, then I guess this mcu integration would be due for the next update. As, Check for updates is all you can do to get the support.

    (edit: the issue was fixed and will be available in a few hours)

    It seems there is an issue in one of the files hosted in the Linux update site for C2000 devices (Windows works fine, as you can verify), causing the real update package that contains the F2807x devices to not show up as a valid update.

    While waiting for the final fix to this, you can edit the TI C2000 Device support update site in Linux and point to an alternate location of the device support site.

    First of all, start CCS with superuser privileges (if installed with sudo).

    1. Go to the option indicated at the page below:

    2. Locate the entry named TI C2000 Device Support and click on the Edit button.

    3. Replace the contents of the Location box with:

    4. Click OK, then click on Reload.

    5. Click OK twice to close both the dialog box and the Preferences view

    6. Go to menu Help --> Check for Updates. You should now see an entry for the TI C2000 Device Support version 4.1.4.2 available.

    7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation of the device support

    After restarting CCS, you should see the F2807x devices in the New project and the Target configuration

    Lee,

    Just one detail: the original website was fixed and should be operational in a few hours (it is a server synchronization thing), thus you will not require to follow the steps above.
