TMDSCNCD28035ISO: CCS debug Error -1135

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSCNCD28035ISO, TMDSCNCD28035, CONTROLSUITE

Hi TI,

I purchased a additional control card TMDSCNCD28035ISO for the TMDSSOLARPEXPKIT. I have switch 2 and switch 3 both on and still get the -1135 error.

My CCS version is 6.0.1.00040. I have problem program it standalone or with the Solar Explorer Kit. I have no problem with the TMDSCNCD28035 come with the Solar Explorer Kit.

  • Hi,

What about SW3? Compare the switch settings for both the controlCards.

    Regards,
    Gautam
  • As I stated in my post. The SW3 is in the on position. The two control card is not exactly the same.

  • Sorry, missed that! Yes, both the switches have to be in the ON position for debugging.
Btw if you check the pinouts of both the controlCards... some pins seem to be missing. Esp. JTAG pins are missing in ISO version
    Check the docs here:

This means that M7 (Macro USB JTAG) is populated, doesn't it?

Can you check jumper in Main-J4 (TRSTn jumper) whether it is populated or not?

If it is populated, I think you should remove it.

    Best regards,

    Maria

  • Maria,

I did have Main-J4 populated to program TMDSCND28035. I removed the jumper for Main-J4 and I still cannot program TMDSCND28035ISO when I connect with the Solar Explorer Kit using the USB.

However, I can program TMDSCN28035ISO when it is inserted to the DIMM100 control card slot and with the USB connected directly to the control card. Since in this case the USB for the Solar Explorer kit is not connected, the Main-J4 has no effect.

My original question is try to program the TMDSCN28035ISO without using the Solar Explorer kit. It appears that the control card need to be power up from something, the USB does not provide the power for the MCU.

Yes, you need to power the ISO ControlCard. The USB only gives power to the ISO part.

So your problem is solved, isn't it?

    That's great, and good luck!

    Best regards,
