Piccolo non-intrusive memory access

Gents,

my customer wants run his application and wants to read out in the background RAM locations with the debugger.
Is it possible to do this on Piccolo in a non-intrusive way with no impact on execution run-time of the real-time applcation?
I would be also interested in documentation providing more details on debug architecture of Piccolo Controller.

Thanks and best regards,
Joe

    Josef,

The presentation on this Wiki page shows how to use real-time mode debug on CCS V3.3.  This applies to all C28x devices.

    http://tiexpressdsp.com/index.php/Real-Time_Mode_Debug_with_CCStudio

There is also some information in chapter 7 the of the C28x CPU reference guide (www.ti.com/lit/spru430) on debug capabilities.

Looks like we could stand to beef up our documentation and demo's more in this area.
