adc 28335 calibration

Hello :

I'm trying to understand paragraph 1.10 in SPRU812A. Is changing values in the ADCOFFTRIM changes the output sampled in ADCLO?

Regards Arye

  • Hi Arye,

ADCLO is nothing but 'Low Reference' pin which needs to be connected to Analog Ground. What a user can do is: connect ADCLO pin to any ADC input and convert the same... Ideally the result register should have a 0 digital value - but this is not the case. Hence you can keep adjusting the ADCOFFTRIM value until you get 0 in the result register. Thus giving you a near to perfect value.
So, in short the answer to your question is yes, the sampled values will keep varying as per ADCOFFTRIM variation when ADCLO is connected to ADC input.

    Regards,
    Gautam
