Control Suite installation problems on windows 8.1

Hai,

My name is Chris. I am planning to do a project on c2000 microcontroller, for I need to install the control suite software on my computer. But I am having difficulties installing this software, at the end it is showing some java error. I am using an HP laptop with windows 8.1. Can u guys please help?? Thankyou

Chris,

Which installer are you using, the Zip or Web installer? If you haven't already, try to install using the other installer (Such as, If you used the web installer, try the zip installer)

Actually i have tried both. But, in the end both of them are showing the same problem. Is there any other solution ?

Hello,
Is your problem the same like this thread e2e.ti.com/.../415486 ?
Maybe if you try to install Java 32 bit, not 64, will it help?

Yes, I think you need to install Java for 32 bits. Hope it helps.

Not sure which one. Maybe you can ask Salah Zayouna from the thread that I or Gautam gave (it is the same).

Based on youtube that mentioned in that thread, most likely it is jdk (for 32 bits) that you need to install.
