InstaSPIN for ARM cortex-M4.

Hi,

I would like to know if Texas Instruments has plans do release a Cortex-M4F with support for InstaSPIN in ROM?

Texas has put the Cortex-M4 into the MSP430 applications with the MSP432, I think that the next step is to put the Cortex-M4F into the C2000 applications, like Motor control and power conversion. I'm right?

No, we do not. For the InstaSPIN solutions we are highly focused on our Piccolo based 28x CPU/FPU products.

Chris,

I found a old roadmap from Texas that show a new family of Tiva Microcontrollers called TM4R (real time) with the same peripherals of the Piccolo and with option for InstaSpin. So,Texas should have given up that.

On the same roadmap the MSP432 was called TM4L.

Does the old roadmap have a "Confidential" or "NDA Required" mark at the bottom? It should...and you should not be sharing publicly.

But as you stated, it is quite old and those plans have changed.

Can I use InstaSPIN with the new F2807x Family?

Are there plans for future F28x with InstaSPIN in ROM and with the new flash technology and advanced peripherals of the F2807X?

Ari,
The special motor control ROM is not offered on the F2807x family. This is a business decision, not a technical one.
