about single-phase PWM Rectifier

Will someone uses a single-phase PWM Rectifier TMS320F28XX done it? I will open loop SPWM added to the four mosFET, but the input current is the same as the diode is a pulse waveform, and the first 1/4 mos very hot, I ask what it might be?

  • Hi,

I hope the MOSFET is not damaged. Can you check its health?

  • They are not damaged, and the circuit in the inverter state is normal, why work not normal in rectifying the state even if it is open loop

Which voltage are you using in this circuits?

Why two inductor are used in a so strange connection?

What about scope of L1? Why use series inductance to a capacitor in parallel to a bigger one? This is a nonsense why?

What this mean? are you using AC line supply as we can suppose be from L N?

And this is also worst, what signify open loop? if you are driving mosfet 1 and 4 ? If a so bad condition is applied then one AC cycle can work charging capacitor, the other half cycle discharging short circuit power line across L2 acting as storage raising the current to dangerous level.

Remember a MOS when on is a resistor so current flow both way, your circuit need know when use 1-4 bridge drive and when use 2-3 to avoiding shorting DC path to AC.

     Is this a PFC?

Are you sure about your circuits?

     Where is ac line sensed?

Are you using a lot of devices, why not use ground referenced dual phase rectifier, two mosfet two inductor more power efficiency and simple sensing of parameters.

Knowledge and precision are required to made circuit work, solution came only from understanding and communication not from multiple useless posts.
