Inconsistent InstaSPIN Motor ID Inductance Readings

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE, LAUNCHXL-F28069M, BOOSTXL-DRV8301

Hi there,

I'm trying to get position control working and have been working through the labs. The motor I am using has 22 poles (I'm assuming that means 11 pole pairs) and a resistance of around 13.2 ohms. I'm not sure of the inductance.

When I do the motor ID I consistently get a resistance reading of around 6 ohms, which seems to match up with what was said in this question. However, I can't get a consistent inductance reading. I've tried using the low-inductance project as well as the regular one, and playing around with the PWM frequency and the estimated flux frequency.

I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on how to proceed.

Note: I have been able to get the motor to spin under sensorless control, but when I try lab 12a it stops working. I have checked that the direction of the encoder and the motor agree.
