emif1 16-bit SDRAM interface with F28377D



Hi,

As F28377D microcontroller is not released yet to market (in pre production stage), we have very limited knowledge on device functionality. We are going to interface 16-bit SDRAM (Part number IS42S16320F-7TL_1) with F28377D microcontroller through emif1.

But I have noticed that TI has tested only for 16-bit SDRAM functionality and performance with Micron make SDRAM (Micron 48LC32M16A2 "P -75 C" part specified in code) and provided example code in controlsuit folder.

Can we go ahead with 16-bit SDRAM (Part number IS42S16320F-7TL_1) with F28377D microcontroller for our design? pls suggest (As we do not have reference design).

Is there any risk of timing and synchronization if we modify as per RAM datasheet for provided example code?
