no load inertia for the marathon 1/4 hp AC MOTOR

Hey, 

Im currently working on the TI high power motor development kit with the 1/4hp marathon AC induction motor. In the header of the example file the motor parameter is 

#define RS 11.05 // Stator resistance (ohm)
#define RR 6.11 // Rotor resistance (ohm)
#define LS 0.316423119 // Stator inductance (H)
#define LR 0.316423119 // Rotor inductance (H)
#define LM 0.2939397 // Magnatizing inductance (H)
#define POLES 4 // Number of poles

however can some one please elaborate the no load inertia for the machine in the unit of kg*m^2

  • the inertia of that motor is unknown, at least for the purposes of the controlSUITE lab write-up.
    however, if you use InstaSPIN-MOTION with the TMDSHVMTRINSPIN kit (same inverter you already have, just need to add TMDSCNCD28069MISO control card) you can estimate the inertia.
