Delay between SPISTE and SPICLK

Hi there,

I want change the delay between the falling edge of SPISTE and the rising edge of the first clock pulse of the SPI module. Is this possible? The delay is currently about 200 ns and I want to increase it to at least 350 ns. The delayed transmission control feature of the module delays the entire transmission.

Benjamin,

There is no way in the SPI hardware to delay the first clock edge after the SPISTE goes active. You might be interested in using a GPIO as a custom chip select which you can control. To save on pins, just use the same pin as the SPISTE but configure it as GPIO. You can then control when you want to make the Chip select active/inactive.

Typically we see this type of usage when multiple slaves are connected, but this would work well for your case. Here are a few posts on the same subject. They are not the exact same conditions you have but they are worth looking at.
