Anyway to reuse GPIO34 in spite of boot rom?

Hi, we run out of GPIO pins and wondering if we can use GPIO34? It's used by boot rom to determine boot mode (SCI/GetMode etc). But we only boot from Flash. IS there anyway to disable or by-pass this check of GPIO34/37 and go directly to boot from Flash? I know this question is asked before, but hoping that there is some way to re-use GPIO34 if we don't need these other boot options. Please advise. Thanks!

F28069 but I suppose that it's the same for all C28x devices?

BootROM always reads GPIO 34/37. There is no way around this.

As long as 34 is driven high on reset to cause the device to boot to Flash, you can use the pin afterwards in your application. Once you application is running, you can reconfigure GPIO 34 for your application.

What part number are you using? You may consider using another part with a higher pin count package.

It is not possible to change the default boot pin configuration on 2806x devices, but application can re-use the pin once the device boots to flash.
