Hi,

I want to use instaspin FOC with TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT v1.7 kit and F28027F controlCARD. What is the hardware and software modifications to use the v1.7 kit as v2.1

it's been many years, but I think the only differences are in the current sense circuitry. different R&C values, kelvin connection, etc. Best thing to do would be to look at the differences with r1p1 hardware / schematics.

once modified the existing motorware SW should work ok.

I'd still recommend just purchasing the new HW though.

Thanks for your instant reply Chris,
I ask this question because i got a document titled as "HV R5 Modifications" but when i compare the schematics i seen the current and voltage sense ADC inputs are diffenrent.

Hi again Chris,
When we are using 2 shunt current measurement do we skip the Iw current reading or make a dummy read?

In MotorWare the Iw current isn't used unless you are in over-modulation (proj_lab10). You can either leave the channel read or in user.h you can change the NUM_CURRENT_SENSORS to (2)

To avoid alignment problem when we change the NUM_CURRENT_SENSORS to (2), will we change the adc soc number 3 channel to Vu or make a dummy read?

you don't need to change the adc results.
if you remove Iw completely you certainly can though.
