We currently use 28346 and 28335, what are TI's plans on implementing CANFD in the Delfino line? We are currently evaluating other processors because we need CANFD. We would like to stay with the TI line however, we have not heard any plans on a CANFD release.,

We can discuss next generation devices under NDA only. We of course are looking at the new Bosch IP for next generation devices. That's about all I can say publicly.

We've seen strong commitment to CANFD from automotive...we expect it to trickle down to industrial in a few years. I'm curious what market sector you design products for?

It has been nearly a year since this thread was last updated. Has TI made a firmer decision regarding a commitment to supporting CAN FD?

We may need to interface with a CAN FD network in a new project. I would appreciate any suggestions for a microcontroller similar to the TMS320F28335 which supports it. Thanks for any information.

we do not have devices with CAN-FD today, and won't in the short term of 2016-2017. That's all I can say.

hopefully a non-TI small <$1 MCU with CAN-FD can be used as a gateway in conjunction with a device like F28335
