how to confirm my mcu locked？

I am using TMS320F28033 MCU and CCS 6.0(I also tried to use ccs 5.5 and had already installed controlSUITE ) to debug my code using XDS100v3 Emulator(00IC-xds100v3).

C28xx: Error connecting to the target: (Error -1015 @ 0x0) Device is not responding to the request. Device may be locked, or the emulator connection may be unreliable. Unlock the device if possible (e.g. use wait in reset mode, and power-cycle the board). If error persists, confirm configuration and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 5.1.232.0)

Hi,

To verify whether the device is locked or not, you can try programming through SCI ie serial programming. Search the forum for various ways to do it. You can either use CCS Uniflash or C2Prog.

In addition to what Gautam mentioned, you could use the "Wait" boot mode (as describe in this doc) and try connecting to CCS. Once connected you could check the Flash memory content via memory watch window and if all values are 0x0 then your device is in LOCKED state.

You could also check the status of SECURE bit filed in CSMSCR register.

I think the mcu is not connected，so could I check the Flash memory content via memory watch window ?

Instead Boot in Wait Mode (Mode 2) and check the memory contents.

Ahh... Ok! Can you try the SCI flashing part once before we conclude that the part is in locked condition?

,serial_flash_programmer need use these two files. i don;t know how to get these for my mcu f28033.

You can use C2PROG or Uniflash instead.
