Hi Dharmendra,

Shadow registers is used to update the value in s/w and contents of this register will be loaded into the active register on an even chosen for loading.
In control applications, PWM generation requires CMPA/B registers, for controlling the duty cycle, be updated at known instances in the PWM cycle (typically counter Zero or Period match etc.). You can see the details in the documentation of EPWM.
BTW - you post has "ADC Register" as subject but referring to EPWM register. I hope i understood your query correctly.
