SCI code

You can use the sci_echoback example in controlSUITE connected to a serial port on your computer.
What version of the ControlCARD do you have? if you are using a docking station, I believe you can just enable the B-channel on the Emulator and the SCI signals will be passed through the xds100 connection.

I may have misunderstood exactly what you are asking.
I am assuming that realterm is the terminal program available on SourceForge.
The project I referred you to will only give you an example of how to get the SCI communication with Realterm up and running.

Which workshop are you working through? We have a few available, so it is best to be explicit.

By workshop, do you mean projects? I'm not exactly which one to use; I was trying to use Example_2806xScia_FFDLB, but I didn't know how to link it to lab 03

And I'm using a DRV8301 as my board

Typically our controlSUITE examples are a place to start working with the peripherals. You will have to write your own code to get things working the way your application requires. Starting with the sci_echoback example, you can understand how SCI communications happen. inside of you project (lab 03) you would add the sci initialization code, and communicate with realterm as you need to.
