2 CMD file for tms320f28335

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335, CONTROLSUITE

Hello,

I have two CMD files for tms320f28335 i.e. 28335_RAM_lnk.cmd and F28335.cmd.

The first file consists of all linking to ram when  i was using tms320f28335 kit in debug mode and was working fine,

Now when i am moving to release mode, i am not able to program the flash although in file F28335.cmd all the flash locations has been defined.

When i exclude ram.cmd file from build then it shows error i thought removing ram file will solve the problem.

i.e. I am not able to program in flash.

The attached are my ram and flash cmd files.

Kinldy advice.

I am using TMS320f28335 [R3] docking station kit.

Thanks,

Mukesh

          Memory blocks on F28335 are uniform (ie same

  • Hi Mukesh,

    Follow these steps:

    You need to add these two statements

    MemCopy(&RamfuncsLoadStart, &RamfuncsLoadEnd, &RamfuncsRunStart);
    InitFlash(); after InitPieVectTable();

    Add DSP2833x_MemCopy.c file to the project.

    Define extern variables above main() function.

    extern Uint16 RamfuncsLoadStart;
    extern Uint16 RamfuncsLoadEnd;
    extern Uint16 RamfuncsRunStart;

    Replace 28335_RAM_lnk.cmd with F28335.cmd
    Compile the code.
    Configure your GPIO's to boot to flash.

    Also, you can refer a direct example code present here:
    C:\ti\controlSUITE\device_support\f2833x\v140\DSP2833x_examples_ccsv5\flash_f28335

  • Thanks Gautam,
    Got it, I missed some how DSP2833x_CodeStartBranch.asm, and also forgot to assign initflash() to ramfunctions.
    Working now referred control suite thereon.
