Suspected defective TMDSDOCK28335 controlCard

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE, TMDSDOCK28335

Hello,

Background:
This is my first time posting in these forums so please forgive me if this is in the wrong section. I am a student at the University of Alabama and we are using the TMDSDOCK28335 in our senior design project. None of us were familiar with TI microcontrollers or CCS prior to this project so we turned to the example codes contained in the controlSuite to play around with the software and hardware and get familiar. We changed the included LED Blinking program to toggle GPIO34 rather than GPIO32 to blink the onboard LD3, and this program ran fine for about 20 minutes at which time LD1 on the card shut off and LD3 stopped blinking. Attempts to reconnect using the TI debugger failed.

Attempted troubleshooting so far:
Another TMDSDOCK28335 was borrowed and connected to the same computer and it worked. The suspected defective controlCard was inserted into the known working dock and as expected LD1 did not turn on and the debugger could not communicate with the card to load programs. The known working card was then inserted into the dock which came with the suspected defective controlCard and we were able to load on sample programs without issue.

What I'm looking for:
Further troubleshooting steps necessary, and if the product is still suspected to be defective, what steps need to be taken to work towards rectifying the issue.
