F28377D EMIF using EM1WAIT

I'm using F28377D and using EMIF Asynchronous Controller in Normal Mode.

I want to know Strobe cycle when extended by EM1WAIT.

Could you let me know how to calculate it.

Total Strobe cycle = f( Configured Strobe cycle in ASYNC_CSx_CR, EM1WAIT Asserted cycle )

Hi,

Datasheet has timing for when EM1WAIT should get asserted (Table 5-37) and once it get asserted when STROBE gets deactivated (Table 5-38). From these numbers, max STROBE cycle will be - (Configured STROBE time + EM1WAIT asserted Cycle + 10ns).

I have one more question.

In the datasheet, OE active low timing is defined as (RST + (EWC*16)) * E+/-1 nsec when using EM1WAIT.

Does it mean that strobe cycle in ASYNC_CSx_CR register should be configured more 16 cycles when using EM1WAIT?

Satoshi-san,

EWC*16 is in this equation because that's the TIMEOUT time if WAIT pin is de-asserted (please refer Table 25-36. ASYNC_WCCR Register Field Descriptions of TRM). Since we don't know how log WAIT pin will be asserted, we have taken the TIMEOUT time in the equation.

As mentioned in datasheet, WAIT need to be asserted 4 cycle before end of STROBE phase, hence strobe cycle need to be more that 4 cycle to use the WAIT feature.
