Implement motor control for concerto mcu

Yes, it is possible and we have customers that are doing this.

However, we (TI) don't have any projects (in controlSUITE, etc) that show this.  For getting started, I would recommend one of two paths:

1. Inside controlSUITE you will find many projects for how to control a motor - many of them using the C2000's F2803x series of devices.  In particular, the TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT and its corresponding controlSUITE project are quite commonly used:

   These can provide you with some examples on how to use a C28x device to control a motor.  You can then work on migrating this to your device.  As a reference in doing this, I might recommend taking a look at the Solar Explorer kit's project (whose code has a similar look and feel to the HVMTRKIT's - but runs on the Concerto F28m35x):

2. Another option is to use something like VisSim or the Mathworks to help accelerate your work.  I know that both have some motor control projects which run on a Concerto.  See the following links:

Thanks for the reply Brett. I will go with the second option so that I can run the example projects on concerto. I will let you update once I'm done with it. 

And one more thing, is there any instaspin examples for concerto mcu which use the motor control libraries for BLDC?

Hi Vinod,

No, most of the instaSPIN effort has been around instaSPIN-FOC and instaSPIN-MOTION - both of which require special TI proprietary code that is put into the ROM of certain devices (Concerto is not one of these).

InstaSPIN-BLDC is bit more open and I believe it is possible to port the solution over to Concerto.  I'm not aware of an example that was generated to show this though.
