Resolver library, parameters tuning

Dear all,

I use in one of our motor driver products a c2000 with the TI resolver library.

I would like to fine tune the resolver loop settings.

What is the best way to do that ?

In your white paper (spry212a) you gave the open-loop transfer function, depending on the library parameters (Kp, Wpi, Wf), and the closed-loop transfer function, depending on canonical parameters (Wn, Wp1, Wz, K).

Is it possible for you to provide the link between library parameters and parameters of the canonical expression of closed-loop transfer function ? Identification is not immediate...

Best regards,

  • Mael,

I see your need. Unfortunately, we did not take that route. Depending on signal noise and operating speed, some parameters may need to vary, and so we mentioned a very generic tuning method. If you are looking for roots of a third order equation, you may find more information on the web.
