Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE
I have two BLDC motors and a DRV8301-69M-KIT. I am testing in InstaSPIN_MOTION_F2806xM 561.425.996 and lab05d.
In InstaSPIN_MOTION_F2806xM and an Anaheim Automation motor I have great control at low speeds - agitation at maximum acceleration and jerk from +- 1.5 KRPM works great. However, if I command a steady state above 2 KRPM (e.g. 10 KRPM) the motor ramps to ~1.7KRPM then the 8301 throws a fault. In CCS/the UNIVERSAL GUI using lab05d, if I command a steady state 10 KRPM the motor ramps up to ~1.7 KRPM, holds, and then jumps to ~2KRPM. If I command 1 KRPM again the motor holds 2 KRPM until ~1.7 KRPM is commanded again at which point it proceeds with the ramping down. Other times it just gets stuck at ~2KRPM and I have to disable 'Run' to get the motor to stop (even commanding 0 RPM doesn't work).
My second motor also throws a fault in InstaSPIN_MOTION_F2806xM at just under 5.5 KRPM but in lab05d spins up to 7k no problem.
Any idea what the problem might be and how I can fix it? I was hoping that in Universal GUI the driver would also throw the same faults so I could read them but it did not. Let me know what files/data I can provide to be of more help.
Best,
Istvan.
