Dear All,

I am working with TMS320F28033 controller. We have designed a control card and been using it from last year. Now 2 more numbers of the same Control Card is manufactured in our factory. While loading code into them, returning an error in console window.

Error Message: Unable to read PC registers. Device held in reset mode. Bring it out of the reset mode and try again


There is no external watchdog IC used. And I have checked XRS and TRST pin voltages to be high. I am not understanding what is happening...

    Hi,

    I don't have any specific advice.  The only thing I might suggest is to also take a look at the power rails.

    The main thing that should be done is to reconfirm that you can connect to your older control card and then, if you can connect to it, compare it with your newer non-working board.  I suspect an assembly or component mismatch issue.
