ePWM1A output pulse comes with offset in eZdsp f28335 kit.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335

Hi

I am using eZdsp tms320f28335 kit. At the pin#9 of P8 I/O connector’s output pulse comes with some offset. How can I correct it?

Regards

Anish

  • Anish,

Can you quantify the offset? Are you saying the PWM does not hit zero (ground), or does not hit Vddio? What are the high and low voltage levels on the signal?

Have you tested this pin in GPIO mode?

Have you tried a different PWM pin?

    Regards,
    David
  • David Sir,
All the ePWM pin works properly, only pin#9(ePWM1A) has taken offset of 1.16V. Max value is 3.52V and min value is 1.16V.
No, I am not tested in GPIO pin.
    Rest pin works properly.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Anish
  • Anish,

I don't think this is an "Offset". It sounds like the pin buffer is damaged. It is no longer able to drive the pin low.

If you have the socketed eZdsp board, you can just pop in a new F28335. If you don't have the socketed board, things are more difficult. You will have to have a new device soldered onto the board. Perhaps you can just avoid the ePWM1A pin and use a different pin.
