DRV8412-C2-KIT

Howdy,

I am a senior Electrical Engineer Student at Texas A&M, and I am currently using the DRV8412-C2-KIT, and have 2 quick questions if any expert here can help with. My first question is there a probe point to probe all 4 PWM as 1? As you can see from this picture here.  I can Probe PWM(A/B/C/D) all 4 of the PWM but is it possible to Probe all winding using just 1 Probe and is it located on the board? I can't seem to find it.

My second question is how is the compatibility of the C2000 Piccolo F28035 Control-Card with SIMULINK embedded coder? I know that this Kit comes with a GUI, I want to try to integrate it into Simulink for research purposes.

I am having a lot of technical issues even after I set the environmental variables and target preferences configured for C28035_CPU, when I click Build Model it asks for the BIOS location. My goal is to make a Model that is for stepper Motor control and to make GUI with MaTLAB to control that set Model, I will be quite frank I am not that familiar with Simulink and I am learning as I go. Any expert here from TI that works with MathWorks for Embedded Target control of C2000 Piccolo? Any tips or guides that can help me would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time,  please contact me either by reply here or by my email. mbathaniah@tamu.edu

  • Hi Mohammed,

Your post is being moved to the C2000 forum for better support on your second question.

For the first question, there is no single point which combines the 4 PWM inputs into 1. This are digital inputs and it is important to see the relationship of the input pairs.
