Hello Team,

I have seen in the user's guide for the TMDXIDDK379D that Code Composer v6.x or later is required to work with this device. Is this a strict requirement?

The team of engineers I'm working with on this device currently have and use CCS v5 to develop for many of their products (they use some licenses to work with older versions of CCS too due to support for older parts). Do they need to get a CCS v6 license to work with the TMDXIDDK379D?

Ben,

We typically write the min requirement to be the CCS version that we tested the projects associated with the design with. Forward compatibility is ensured but there can be unknown issues if an older version is used to import a newer version project.

I will check on whether this is a strict requirement from a device support perspective.

I figured the requirement was based on the version used during testing/design, but thought I would check in case anyone had tried it with CCS v5.
