Hi,

I'm using an TMS320F28335 DSC in my final degree project, to make a VSR, and I'm starting to read the technical documentation, an I would like to know what exactly an External Interface is. The information I have found in the Data manual doesn't help me to understand it.

I've taken a look at the External Interface Reference Guide, Literature Number: SPRU949D, I have found a functional description, but not a description that explains what a External Interface is.

It is an external bus - it has address, data, chip select pins - to connect an external device such as RAM, Flash, CPLD, etc.... to the MCU.

Hi,

External interface is used to connect to off chip memory devices like ASRAM/Flash or to FPGA or any other device which are compatible with this interface. It has data bus/address bus/enable and RD/WR control.
