FLASH API sector size is always 4K?

Hello All

I was struggling to figure out if flash api is supported on 28030 or not. The doubt was due to the example flashAPI file did not provide the conditional include for 28030 and 28031.

Finally, I managed locate from TI website example flashAPI file version that provided the conditional include for 28030 and 28031. But I am unable locate that again!

Now my question is if sector size is always 4K for the flash API? can I not have a 1K sector? It is needed and useful in a small memory device like 28030 where erasing 4K of 16K and setting it aside for runtime storage is luxury and may be impossible.

But the sector ease interface does not take a size parameter to make it erase in 1K blocks. Is the hardware underneath not supporting 1K sectors?

Please clarify.
